1 week to camp
time: 1300pm
Cs must be one of the few schools in the world where we have hand delivery of orientation package to the freshmen. yes, admittedly, having a much smaller population than the rest of the school makes this possible. But i've always been impressed by this tradition, as weird as it may seeem.
However, actually doing it is exhuasting. I spend the whole of sunday with shannon running round to houses. We met with loads of adventures, from mistaken identities( well..some names are really misleading), to mysterious houses that just cant be found, to getting attacked with mango juice( i hope that idiot wakes up tmr with the worst sores ever!!!) and fathers who answered doors in only a towel! It was fun, but the response was sad. The number of faces we actually got to see was so pathatic that i started to question the purpose of our mission. sighz...still..i hope to see them during camp yes?
I may be involved in both my school and hall orientation camp, but yet i feel so much for my school's one. I guess it helps that the committee is made up of friends who make the experience more enjoyable. I know that we all have issues with each other some time or the other, but deep down, it is comforting to realise that the displeasure will not be long standing because we all share something a little deeper than simply a 'working-relationship'
In exactly one week, camp wil start. And i know that even with all our apprehension, things will turn out fine. :)
